Black owned business owners account for about 10% of businesses here in the states and we wonder…how many of those are female owned? From our research, about 2-3% of those are female owned….YES that is a number worth celebrating but GIRL we want to help GROW that statistic in every way we can! Inspiration in Ordinary Things: Summer Wardrobe Staples

Recently Ditch the Clique interviewed my FAV men’s stylist @dave.diazjr for an upcoming project (make sure you’re following here or on instagram for more on that VERY soon.) To be honest, his response has me thinking A LOT about the relationship between body and mind when it comes to looking AND feeling good.

My guess is, whether you’re a self-proclaimed fashionista or not, you know the power of a “good” outfit. As an adult, she has decided to change the spelling of her last name to “Shay”, marking a new beginning of exploring what she is truly passionate about.

I’m THANKFUL for COMMUNITY…

Despite the CRAZINESS 2020 has thrown EVERYONE, when I reflect on 2020 I honestly can’t be anything but thankful. OF COURSE I’m NOT thankful for COVID and other tragedies plaguing our world, but as I’ve mentioned MANY times before…I’m eternally grateful for the growth 2020 has brought both me AND Ditch the Clique.

Narrowing down that thankfulness is hard though! From financial security to my family and friends remaining relatively healthy throughout the pandemic, I have SO much to be thankful for. However, I think the cherry on top of my gratitude is definitely having access to an empowering and inspiring COMMUNITY! I mean, my community is who keeps me going in times (and YEARS) like 2020!

I’ve been blessed to have an incredible community of women surrounding me most of my life but this year….this COMMUNITY is different….
