How we celebrate Galentine’s Day….

It’s February! And let’s be real…you likely either love or hate the “month of love”.

To be honest with you, over the years I’ve spent a lot of time digging deep into this one. Because as someone who struggles around the Christmas holiday season, I find it important to empathize with and support those who see holiday months as a challenge rather than a celebration. And through my “research” I’ve found one MAJOR commonality which leads me to ask…

Do those who dislike the month of love struggle to like themselves?

OKAY I know that sounds harsh, but before you stop reading PLEASE hear me out!

Think about it…a lot of people who dislike February struggle because of feeling incomplete or less than on Valentine’s Day. They battle feelings of loneliness and begin to believe the lie that they don’t measure up and are unworthy of love. And in return of feeling unloved, they fall of out love with themselves. And where love doesn’t live…hate does. But GIRL whether you love or hate February (and for whatever reason you love or hate it), I’m here to remind you:

YOU ARE COMPLETE.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
YOU DO MEASURE UP.
YOU ARE WORTHY.

YOU. ARE. LOVED.

And GIRL, YOU deserve to love YOU!

How to Create Inspiring Spaces: College Dorm Edition

by April Hooper

Some days, my to-do list feels like a taunt. All I can do is sit back in my chair, stare out the window, and let my mind wander to avoid all the tasks I have piling up. No matter how good of a writer I am, sometimes the words just don’t come. When my inspiration has run dry, all that is left to do is wait.

Motivation comes and goes… and goes and goes and goes (trust me, I’m a college student — I get it.)
