Let’s NOT return to “Normal”

I can hardly believe it! New York City has officially entered phase 3 of reopening! Social distancing rules are a bit less strict and salons, shops, and even outdoor dining are welcoming guests again! Slowly but surely, life is seemingly returning to “normal”…

But “normal” is not okay…

Don’t get me wrong, I am THRILLED for the businesses in my community to reopen, and to once again experience the simple joy of hugging my friends and family.  But there is so much more to the “normal” life we were living PRE quarantine that we simply can not return to.

How PCOS Changed My Life (in ways you’d never DREAM!)

Okay, I have a serious question for my fellow late 20-something women…

What did our parents do before the internet?

I know, how millennial of me to ask but HONESTLY! As an entrepreneur and curvy woman managing life with PCOS, I have found MAJOR validation, camaraderie and friendship VIRTUALLY. And truly can’t imagine life without it!

Now don’t get me wrong, I am so thankful for my PHYSICAL circle! But at times, they just don’t get me (ummm one of the MANY reasons I started Ditch the Clique!)

A Guide to Curvy Swimwear

GIRL…

MAYBE I’m going out on a limb here, BUT I’m going to take a wild guess that at some point (regardless of your shape, size, race, or age) you’ve cringed at the idea of wearing (or even shopping for) swimwear.

And I get it! I’m a curvy girl you can find somewhere between loving her thick body and balancing PCOS weight fluctuations, who has ABSOLUTELY had those same cringey moments…

And I’m here to remind you, that it’s okay!We all have THOSE moments, THOSE days. But the key here is to not continually live in those negative feelings, and instead find a way to channel them into LOVING and celebrating your body NOW. Don’t get me wrong…truly learning to love YOU where you are NOW is a process! But as always, I want to share ways I’ve learned to love me in the moment in hopes of making your journey a bit lighter!
