NYFW Recap

And just like that, the greatest week of the year comes to a close.

I (literally) say this every season, but with each new show I attend, I am brought to tears over this creative and talented industry! Fashion Week continually leaves me ultra-inspired and ready to rule the fashion world!

Like me, you may have your favorite runway show on repeat as you are simultaneously scrolling through Instagram for street style inspiration (absolutely zero judgment)!  To aid in the recovery process, I’ve collected my top inspiration from New York Fashion Week runways, alongside some street style and front row icon sightings to share with you!

The Fem-power Suit

The power of SHE is on the rise now more than ever (in the fashion world AND beyond!) and I am HERE FOR IT! Countless designers hit a home run for fashionable feminism this season particularly with their take on power suits.  Designers feminized traditional suiting by incorporating bold colors, patterns and textures and altering cuts.  Some of my favorites this season include looks from Self Portrait , Clavon Leonard and Tom Ford.

Personally potting the ever-amazing blogging icon Camila Coelho sporting the candy stripe suit on the street outside the Self Portrait show LITERALLY shook me AND currently has me on the prowl for a bold power suit of my own.

In addition to my favorite trend hot of the runway and streets of NYFW 18, I’m also gushing over my numerous celeb sightings.  A few of my favorite views included Olivia Palermo, Stefaine Giesinger and Lucy Hale. Though not in power suits, all of these women made powerful (fashion) statements upon entering the Self Portrait show, too!  Their magnificent taste in colorful faux fur also inspired me to wear my classic yet eccentric Betsey Johnson faux fur for the third day of New York Fashion Week.
