I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how even when I’m not “moving” my dreams are still aligning for me…
Or maybe a better way to say it is that I’m amazed by all of the work in the waiting.
You know the type. It’s the kind of work that’s happening for you behind the scenes. The kind that’s happening for you without you realizing. But that’s not to say the success is spontaneous. In fact, the success is a direct result of the (sometimes YEARS of) hard work and consistency come before it. And before the success it feels like A LOT of dedication with little to no reward in the moment.
I’m not exactly sure how to explain it, but I’ve always known I’m meant to share my journey on a great platform. A platform with positive impact, and one with the ability to motivate great change. For YEARS I worked to create the platform(s) myself, and that’s not to be discounted because it really did work! But even as recent as 5 months ago it felt like a daunting process…and one that *occasionally* allowed me to believe the lie “this is all the further I’ll go…”
That was, until I received an email in September…
from a long-time colleague inquiring about my podcast experience. They explained they would be producing a body-confident podcast in partnership with a well-known brand and believed I was THE perfect person to host the show. And long story short – apart from testing for the position and being approved by the team, the opportunity was mine if I wanted it. The work was LITERALLY done for me, behind the scenes, without me knowing my dream opportunity was on the table, and MY name was in the hat.
Fast forward and I am *officially* the host of The BodPod – the podcast for every BODY, a weekly show bringing you confidence boosting resources from friends old and new in the body confidence space. It is SO me, literally a dream, and came together behind the scenes…
PROOF that my dreams are always working for me (EVEN WHEN i DON’T KNOW IT OR SEE IT.)
And sure, I share this to hype ME up, but more importantly to remind YOU that your hard work is are worth it. When you’re feeling discouraged because…well…you will, don’t give up just yet. Remember that your efforts never go unnoticed, and your dreams are ALWAYS working in your favor. It may not come together exactly when you want, but it WILL happen…and it will likely be greater than you ever dreamed it could be!
