Dresses for Summer? …GROUNDBREAKING!
First off- if you get that reference, THANK YOU! But as much as it makes me laugh, it’s true! Now that NYC is in phase 4 of COVID recovery, I’m spending more time outside and realizing quickly how few lightweight and airy items I have for summer! Don’t get me wrong, I’m stocked with tanks, tees, and summer sets but it would be much easier (and cooler) to not wear pants! Ladies, I KNOW you get me!!! Sometimes shorts simply do not cut it. We need breezy, loosing fitting items for those SUPER hot days and summer dresses are it!

I don’t know about YOU, but for me, there is nothing more damaging to my work and mindset than finding myself in a creative rut.
And regardless of the work YOU do, a creative rut is likely taxing to you and your work too!
But how do you get out of a creative rut?
Throughout quarantine, I’ve found myself in a creative rut (or two) and have successfully found my way out! But not without FIRST uncovering what is stealing my creative energy. And then seeking NEW sources of inspiration.

I can hardly believe it! New York City has officially entered phase 3 of reopening! Social distancing rules are a bit less strict and salons, shops, and even outdoor dining are welcoming guests again! Slowly but surely, life is seemingly returning to “normal”…
But “normal” is not okay…
Don’t get me wrong, I am THRILLED for the businesses in my community to reopen, and to once again experience the simple joy of hugging my friends and family. But there is so much more to the “normal” life we were living PRE quarantine that we simply can not return to.

When I wrote my Spring Style blog post, I was CERTAIN COVID restrictions were coming to an end! I was confident life would be back to “normal” by summer…and…here we are. Although New York City is on the brink of normalcy with retailers and restaurants slowly reopening (within restriction of course), I’m ready to show off my summer style NOW (even if it is just for dinner with my husband or socially distant drinks with friends on my stoop).
One of the BEST things I’ve done for myself during quarantine is edit my wardrobe. Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time asking myself the important wardrobe questions like what colors am I drawn too? What fabrics do I find most comfortable (and sweat the least in LOL)? What styles make me feel the most ME?
