The top 3 trends I’m loving moving into warmer summer months.

YES! There has been a bit of a pause in sharing my monthly style favorites here at A Grim Sense of Style BUT that doesn’t mean my passion for discovering, styling and wearing the latest trends has stopped! In fact, it has made me even more excited to share with y’all exactly what trends I’m currently loving!

Suits & Sets

Because June serves as the gateway to all things summer, it only seems right to share my FAVORITE trend moving from spring into warmer months and Ladies, that is short suits and sets!  Just like my love for jumpsuits, my love for sets stems from the ease of outfitting.  Sets like this cobalt blue suit jacket and shorts pairing by Joyfunear are easily styled casually with a T-shirt and sneakers or dressed up for a night out with heels.  I like that set pieces can also be worn separately (like pairing the sets blazer with denim and heels) creating multiple outfits out of one!  I’d suggest selecting both sets and suits in bold colors and patterns for the sunny season, too!

Cool Accessories

Gaining incredible style inspiration was one of my favorite parts of recently spending time abroad in Europe. The street style in both London and Paris was IMPECCABLE but what struck me the most was the accessory game!!! I’ll be honest…summer hair and neck scarves are perhaps the trend I have incorporated most into my wardrobe inspired by my travels. Incorporating light and airy items like this bold, silky hair scarf dresses up a casual look while being breezy enough to keep me cool on hot, makeup melting days. Accessories like this can be styled as a headband or as a hair-tie. Tied around the neck and stacked with necklaces or even wrapped around a handbag to add a pop of summer color are other great ways to style breezy accessories.

Dainty Jewels

And speaking of accessories, a trend I have gushed over before but am loving right now is dainty, simplistic jewelry. Whether worn alone or stacked together, slim and gold necklaces, rings, and earrings are my go-to jewels. They can be mixed and matched for daily wear but also pair seamlessly with dressier looks. I shared my obsession over the gold initial “R” necklace in my Clothing & Confidence post but this month I am gravitating toward these gold hoops gifted to me from Studex. Because I wear gold necklaces and rings literally EVERY day, it is important to me to have a matching pair of earrings that are trendy, will not tarnish after one wear, and are bold but do not take away from the rest of my look.
